In addition to his Shamanic Dance workshop, we are also pleased to have Bob Hillary bringing his music to the Village Stage on New Years Eve. Bob is a folk singer-songwriter from the UK, who makes music that is Earthy, funky & positive, with a strong world music influence. He plays a fusion of folk, reggae, soul & world music blended into one sound. He uses stomp box to make his beats, his wife sings beautiful deep harmonies and also plays percussion adding to the sound. He uses loops and dubs to fill out the folky sound adding a reggae dimension to it. The sound is full, intricate & mellow dancey. Groove along to the video and check out his website at: www.bobhillary.com Tsūa - a solo project of multi-instrumentalist, producer and improviser Dan Antell (earth). Once described as a "musical madman channeling divine love - alchemicalization of light and dark...!?!". From singer songwriter post-folkrock to digital electric eclectic evolving soundscapes with musical inspiration drawn from all over space and time who knows what may come out. Now is our time - polarity transformed into both and more. "Healing, light in the darkness, harmony in the storm. Now, to gift what has been given"
MudWood music is timeless and ageless. At times adding other elements to the MudWood sound. They will also be running a Kombucha Lounge as a Theme Camp...so look forward to delicious tastes and sounds! www.mudwood.kiwi.nz www.facebook.com/mudwoodmusic
Vojta is a multi-talented musician fusing delicate violin with bassy didgeridoo, adding a glistening of guitar and bansuri flute. He accompanies himself adding rhythm with a stomp box.
His music is transcendent bringing together Tribal, Celtic and classical music. Scattered Ashes is the live performance alias of Steve Carter, a writer, artist and musician who has a particular focus on work exploring the human condition. Formerly a Mental Health Promoter with the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand, and with a career dedicated to community development and activism, he has just released a new album 'A Question of Identity'. The album is designed to provoke dialogue about such issues as mental health, diversity and social change, with live shows presenting the songs as a narrative that shadows a journey of recovery and discovery. Listeners can expect equal measures of blunt honesty, self-effacing humour and incisive social commentary and are positively encouraged to join the conversation. www.reverbnation.com/scatteredashes
