We are excited to announce that Jeff from Backyard Honey Bees, known locally as ‘the bee man,’ will be coming and sharing his wealth of experience in all things bee related.
In the first workshop you will have the opportunity to discover what is inside a working hive. Jeff will be talking about the different products that the bees make and there will be a chance to ask him questions. This will be an evening workshop so as to reduce disturbance to the hive as much as possible.
The next day Jeff will be making a hive. This workshop is an exceptional opportunity to learn the skills required to make your own bee hive. Skills taught will include learning about wood wear, foundation wax, top bar hives, using a jig and wiring up the frames. Don’t forget to ask Jeff all your questions, as his knowledge base is legendary.
