Kia Ora! we are happy to announce a sharing of knowledge from local carver and Stone hunter Mark McPherson of Found and Carved. Exploring life within the realms of the stone of the gods. Learn about the properties of pounamu, it's uses in ancient times and today.   He is a carver of pounamu and has walked with the stone for most of his adult life. He would like to share an insight into the workings of pounamu and how it has shaped himself and the greater community we live in.  Pounamu is the treasure of our nation. Come and explore the realms of Te Wai Pounamu.
